How do I get to The Arts Club of Chicago?
Public Transportation:
From Blue Line “L”
• Exit at the Clark and Lake stop, head east on Lake Street for five blocks, turn left on Michigan Avenue, walk seven blocks north, or take the #3 Michigan Bus to Ontario Street, turn right onto Ontario Street, then walk one block east. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
From Red Line “L”
• Exit at the Grand Street stop, head east on Grand Street, proceed four blocks, turn left onto St. Clair Street, then walk two blocks north. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
From #66 Chicago Bus
• Exit at Fairbanks and Ontario Streets, walk west on Ontario Street, go one block. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
Driving Directions:
From I-90 and I-94 Kennedy Expressway
• Exit at Ohio Street (east), cross Michigan Avenue, and turn left (north) onto St. Clair Street. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
From I-290 Eisenhower Expressway
• Exit at Congress Parkway (east), turn left (north) on Michigan Avenue, turn right (east) at Ohio Street, and then left onto St. Clair Street. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
From I-55 Stevenson Expressway
• Exit Lake Shore Drive (north) at Grand Avenue (west), proceed three blocks, turn right onto St. Clair Street, and head two blocks north. The Arts Club is on the southeast corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets.
Is there valet parking at The Arts Club of Chicago?
Yes. Valet parking is available for those attending club functions from 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Valet is also available for our evening club-sponsored events and our First Saturdays Jazz Brunches from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Valet parking may be arranged for private functions.
Where should I park if valet service is not available during my visit?
There are three convenient parking facilities:
• General Parking Lot, located on the southwest corner of Ontario and St. Clair Streets
• Park One, located on the northeast corner of Grand and St. Clair Streets
• Standard Parking, located on the northeast corner of Ontario and Fairbanks Streets
Exhibitions
What is your submission policy for artists interested in showing at The Arts Club?
Exhibitions are scheduled by our Director and the Exhibition Committee, often several seasons in advance. We are not accepting exhibition proposals at this time.
Please note that due to our Visual Artist Membership, we cannot exhibit local artists.
Membership
How do I become a member?
A current member must request the application on your behalf. Instructions are outlined within the application packet. Membership application materials are only available to members of The Arts Club.
Dining Room
Is there a dress code at The Arts Club?
No, we only ask that you use your discretion when visiting.
Who can attend lunches and programs?
Members and their guests may utilize the dining facilities and attend programs. Guests must always be accompanied by a member.
