Yayoi KusamaObsessional Vision

The Arts Club of Chicago is proud to participate in the recent “rediscovery” of Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist whose unique work was first introduced to American audiences in the late 1950s. Based in New York for more than a decade, Kusama gained international attention during the sixties with paintings, sculpture, environments, performances, and film, but receded from view in the United States after her return to Japan in 1972.
