And Do for Her What He Would Do For Me: Film Screening and Discussion with Derek Spencer

And Do For Her What He Would Do For Me is a newly commissioned, site-specific work made in reference to Oren Pinhassi’s exhibition currently on view at The Arts Club. Filmmaker and theater artist Derek Spencer imagines three would-be lovers paralyzed by their fantasies. Utilizing Pinhassi’s sculptures as inspiration, architecture, and scene-partner, Spencer’s film constructs a shape-shifting love-triangle without resolution. The work is presented as a three-channel triptych and accompanied by a collaboratively-devised vocal score. Join for a reception, screening, and discussion.

Sliding Scale Tickets available from $5 – 20 per person on-site (includes one drink ticket), complimentary remote viewing.
